is A Must!
Mental health includes our emotional, psychological, and social well-being. It affects how we think, feel, and act. Mental health is important at every stage of life, from childhood and adolescence through adulthood. Over the course of our life, we can experience mental health problems, and our thinking, mood, and behavior could be affected. Many factors contribute to mental health problems.
As senior high school students, we face a lot of problems and stress that affect our emotional and mental health. These problems make us unstable physically and mentally. It made us perform poorly on the things we usually do. We can experience different types of mental illnesses or disorders, and they can often occur at the same time. Mental illnesses can occur over a short period of time or be episodic. This means that mental illness comes and goes with discrete beginnings and ends. Mental illness can also be ongoing or long-lasting.
"Early Warning Signs Of Mental Health Problem"
The following are the early warning signs of mental health problems according to Public Health Nigeria (2021).
- Pulling away from people and usual activities
- Having low or no energy
- Eating or sleeping too much or too little.
- Feeling numb or like nothing matters.
- Having unexplained aches and pains.
- Feeling helpless or hopeless.
- Smoking, drinking, or using drugs more than usual.
- Feeling unusually confused, forgetful, on edge, angry, upset, worried, or scared.
- Yelling or fighting with family and friends.
- Experiencing severe mood swings that cause problems in relationships.
- Having persistent thoughts and memories you can't get out of your head.
- Hearing voices or believing things that are not true.
- Thinking of harming yourself or others.
- Inability to perform daily tasks.
As shown on the infographic above by, mental health problems could also be seen physically and not just emotionally and mentally. So, the best solution we can do is to be aware of the signs. This might be useful in the future to help a friend, or anyone suffering from mental problems that are not aware of these signs.

As shown in the infographic, we can boost our mental health by simply doing the things that we like. taking care of our mental health is very important, through doing simple and engaging stings we can avoid stress ang other mental problems.
We must prevent mental health problems before it starts. If we encounter problems that we cannot handle we must seek for help from a doctor our close family and friends.
Therefore, we must learn more about mental health problems, its causes, effects and how can we prevent or cope up with it. Selfcare and love is what we need, we must stay away from stress and make ourselves physically and mentally strong and healthy. be ware of the signs and know what to do to prevent further mental health problems.
